King Shaka Monument Investment Proposal

 

A Concept Study, artist's impression and an investment prospectus of a monument to commemorate the famous Zulu King, King Shaka. The project, which is proposed to be located in along the KwaZulu-Natal coastline, was developed by Lindon Corporation and its technical team, for the KwaZulu-Natal Tourism Authority.

 

The design of the statue incorporated a multi-functional foyer and a vertical people mover inside the statue to access the various upper level viewing platforms. At 106 meters high, the monument is higher than the Statue of Liberty in the USA or Christ the King in Brazil.

Investment costs is approximately R130 million (2008) and approximately 100 jobs would be created.
